Asterisk 18.0.0 Released!

Kia Ora! (Or Be Healthy) (Don’t ask – I like greetings from various languages)

If you haven’t noticed from the various emails and posts Asterisk 18.0.0 has now been released and is available for download here! As previously mentioned in our blog post for 18.0.0-rc1 this is an LTS release, meaning it will be supported for a few years. I therefore urge you to make a plan for upgrading to it if you haven’t already to ensure that you remain on a supported version of Asterisk. As well if you have any issues don’t hesitate to use the Asterisk issue tracker at issues.asterisk.org to report them. Just a reminder as well that Asterisk 13 is now in a security fix only status as well as Asterisk 17. This means they will no longer receive bug fixes.

If you’d like further information on Asterisk 18 we have posted blog posts over the past year about development and in the past two months posts explicitly about things in Asterisk 18. Be sure to check them out!

Have a great day everyone, and enjoy Asterisk 18!
